Your shield

The sun is gone from her voice,
Her happiness faded away,
We have no choice -
It's this day.

He phoned in the morning
- I was awake -
Our time of mourning
Was that fate?

He helped to put him in the coffin,
Thought he would be strong,
Didn't think about how much he had been lovin'
It's a sad song.

She tried to hide it all,
But too much is lost,
These are the ruins of the fall,
That's what is the cost.

And I am your shield.
Come to me, feel free.
I'll lead you through this mine field.
I promised to be.
A poem about my grandfathers death and the things that took place, when he died.

First stanzor is about my aunt, second about my father, third about my uncle, fourth about my grandmother and the last about me.

I promised to myself to be a bastion of calm, when he would die, like I was when my first grandfather passed away.
